Health the great Asset
All of us know the adage : health is wealth, however we take little interest in keeping our health in good condition.
Just like money,our health is also a treasure.If we are healthy we can feel happiness in our body, mind and spirit.
Health is the condition of no
Illnesses, no pain and no problems in our physiological and psychological functions of our body.Health body and mind is prerequisite factor in achieving great things in our life.Healthy persons are happy persons with cheerful mood and zeal to do great tasks.
Unhealthy persons are usually
depressed and panic.All their
Thoughts lingering about their recovery and the fear of death.
To create a decease requiere's lot of money. So adjusting the money for medical expenses is an herculean task for middle and lower class(financially) people.It becomes burden. Nowadays the hospitals charge too much and causes tension and worry to the common citizens. Some people work strenuously without taking proper food and rest will easily
become the victim for diseases.Then they have to spent all their hard earned money to over come of the illness.That is why our elders said that health is wealth.
To get good health will not take place in a single day.It is
a long process.It will takes its
Own time. Our food habits, surrounding rest and sleep,our way of living play a major role in getting good health. The food that contains proper carbonates,proteins, and vitamins should be taken.Vegetables ,whole grains, nuts, and fruits contain all nutrients. Milk and dairy product also necessary food requirements. Some vegetables like carrots tomatoes and onions to be in raw state rather than boiled.
Sugar and salt should be take n in minimum quantities as excess consumption of these
Upsets our health.Food should
be taken at regular time in regular quantities.
At any cost morning breakfast should not be missed because it is the prime essential food of the day.It must be taken sumptuously.
Lunch we take during the afternoons must be moderate in quantity.
Dinner at night shouldn't be heavy as it causes discomfort to our sleep like bringing hallucinations in our dreams.
Drinking tea and coffee several times a day is also not good for our health.That habit brings gastric problems and indigestion.
Our body is made up of 72 percent of of water and we need to drink at least 2to 3 litres (7_8 glasses) everyday which will not only help digestion but also avoid the formation of stones in kidney.
Physical exercises like run ning, jogging, playing the games of our liking is a must to do in routine. Walking is best the type of exercise for senior citizens.
Doing yoga and pranayam is really suits to one and all.
A good sleep is necessary for all living beings, because it
rejuvenates our body.It is like recharging our cellphones An average man needs at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep. Lack of sleep hinders our concentration and depletion our energy.To get sound sleep one must play or do aerobic exercises in the open field.
Doing prayer or meditation is opt to get good sleep.
Our mental stability and peace is also very important for our wellbeing because our discomfort in our mind is responsible for so many diseases.
For our trifle ailments like colds, headaches and bodily pains,we needn't rush up to the doctor.After a day or two they will automatically vanish, because our body produces toxins in itself and immunity developsand it works as an antidote.That is why they say,"The colds cured after taking a medication in 7 days or in a week without taking any medication.
In the modern world young, old and everyone is conscious of their health and do their best by visiting jim or walking briskly so as to get sweats and feel inwardly.The also take rest and sufficient sleep and have healthy diet.Healthy persons are strong persons and they are real asset f of any country. Swamy Vivekananda the saint of India who propagated the Hindu Religion and its values in western countries once said, " Give a hundred youths of strong body and mind, I will change the destiny of this country!".
